Winter residentials!
This week marks the launch of a new collaborative campaign from Learning Away to encourage schools to provide more residentials in the late autumn and early spring term, when the benefits are greater and the costs are often lower.
We believe the impact of a residential is greater the sooner it takes place in the school year. Yet, our latest study reveals that residentials in schools are more likely to take place in the summer term, just as the class teacher is saying goodbye to their class.

The campaign includes new Winter Residentials web pages which provide ideas, top tips and free resources for schools.
