Location. Large Victorian house set in it’s own 50 acre estate overlooking Coniston Water with views to the southern Lakeland fells.

Ethos. We believe that the outdoor adventure environment and the residential experience provide the most powerful framework for developing young people.

Activities. With mountains, lake and woods the centre is ideally suited to. Mountain walks, Ghyll Scrambling, Orienteering, Canoeing, Kayaking,RaftBuilding, Mountain Biking, Problem Solving and Sailing.

 

Accommodation & Facilities The centre takes groups of 36 but can sleep 40 plus up to 7 leaders. Recently refurbished with the help of the national lottery, over a million pound was spent upgrading the main house. Open all year round and fully central heated. Fully catered or self catering groups accepted. Facilities include, 10 bedrooms, large lounge, dining room, large barn with woodburner / games room and climbing wall.

 

Centre Staff. Qualified, experienced and committed staff help achieve our Gold Standard and Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

 

Organising a trip? Open all year round to any groups, fully catered or self catering, multi activity or specialist courses our flexible staff are keen to help organise your trip.

 

Courses. Mid week – Monday to Friday or weekend – Friday night to Sunday night.
