Based on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Shining Cliff prides itself in offering high quality outdoor education and adventurous activities.
Shining Cliff, which is open all year round, is set in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Derwent Valley Mills, Derbyshire.
Shining Cliff offers both day visit activities and residential courses. The centre facilities are to a high standard and residential accommodation is available for up to 20 residents in five rooms.
The centre is run by Lindley Educational Trust, an established and successful charity. Through our outdoor education and adventurous activity courses we aim to be a centre of excellence for the development of young people, whether they be from schools, youth groups, apprentices or voluntary organisations.
‘The overall aim of our programmes is to ensure that people, regardless of background, race, sex, religion, ethnic origin, disadvantage or disability, are provided with the tools and the confidence to reach their full potential throughout life.’
With over forty years experience of developing programmes for young people, we are here to discuss your requirements and suggest an event to meet your specific needs and outcomes. Everything is custom designed and as a result you will not find any set packages or prices.
Whilst primarily a centre for young people, our facilities are suitable for corporate and other training events. Working closely with our corporate clients we have designed and delivered Management training and development programmes for a number of companies.
At Shining Cliff we put our clients first which means we aim to be as flexible as possible. With a range of both on-site and off-site activities, a small classroom, we are able to meet the requirements of any small group wanting to work in the fabulous woodlands.
