Pentrellyncymer Centre is part of the North Wales Outdoor Education Service (NWOES) delivering to Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham, Gwynedd and Anglesey. The Centres have been providing high quality outdoor education courses, through residential and day experiences, to primary school groups since 1966. Our outdoor courses offer mental and physical challenges and bring learning alive.
Pentrellyncymer is a cosy and homely base from which to experience exciting and memorable outdoor activities and to have fun! We’re based in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so ideally placed to provide an exciting range of educational outdoor and environmental activities using the beautiful wooded countryside and the Brenig and Alwen reservoirs.
Pentre is an environmentally friend, and recently modernised, centre which offers en-suite accommodation for about 45 pupils plus accompanying staff. We offer a range of activities includingclimbing, canoeing, gorge walking, mountain biking, hill walking, bushcraft,, environmental journeys and orienteering.. The local environment makes Pentre a perfect location for pupils in key stage 1 and 2, but we are also within easy reach of other venues, enabling us to access activity sites suitable for older pupils too.
