Pendarren House OEC is set in 16 acres of grounds in the Brecon Beacons National Park and has with easy access from the M4, M5 and rail network.
There are three accommodation blocks – the Main House has 42 beds, the Greig Annexe 24 beds and the Firs 16 beds. The latter is also equipped for self-catering. Schools do not share accommodation blocks and visitor staff accommodation is adjacent to the student accommodation. The Centre has been owned and maintained by Haringey Council since 1972 and accepts around 2000 residential visitors a year, predominantly school groups.
Pendarren offers a wealth of on and off-site activities which include adventurous activities (with AALA license), environmental activities, historical visits, bespoke GCSE PE courses, DofE expedition and residential and NGB Awards.
The Centre is well equipped and can provide all visitors with waterproofs, wellies, walking boots, rucksacks etc. as well as the specialist equipment needed for the activities.
