description

Ingleborough Hall stands in 8 acres of private grounds in the village of Clapham, within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and at the foot of Ingleborough hill. The village is set just off the A65 Skipton to Kendal road and is served by the Leeds to Lancaster railway with the station located just 2km from the Hall.

We provide bespoke activity programmes for primary and secondary age pupils in adventure education, personal development and environmental studies. The Centre has 106-beds across 21 bedrooms many of them with en-suite facilities. There are 6 classroom bases, 3 dining rooms, a Tuck Shop and supper bar which give comfortable living accommodation for staff and students alike.

Instructional staff are nationally qualified in mountain activities, caving and some are qualified teachers. For self-led activities, such as local village studies and orienteering, all resources and equipment are provided to make your residential or day visit run smoothly. On arrival all residential groups are issued with boots, waterproof top and bottoms, and rucksack and all other technical activity equipment is provided. We also have two centre minibuses which allow for drop-offs for hill walks and access to the best locations for caving, climbing and scrambling in the 3-Peaks region of the Dales.

Ingleborough Hall also provides catered residential and day facilities for music groups/orchestras, conferences and seminars and National Governing Body training and assessment for the BCA Local Cave Leader Scheme.
