Is the largest of Cheshire West and Chester’s five Outdoor Education Centres.
Set in idyllic surroundings on the Island of Anglesey, occupying 169 acres of National Trust parkland and gardens which extend down to the Menai Strait, offering fantastic opportunities for outdoor education and adventure.
Accommodation
The Centre is able to accommodate up to 400 people. The accommodation comprises of dormitories, single rooms and 4 self contained units ideal for smaller groups.
Our Customers
Our customers include primary and secondary schools, teacher INSET, universities, colleges, youth groups, clubs, families and friends. We also provide corporate team building and social/celebratory event packages.
Activities.
Our site is ideal for numerous activities with extensive woodlands, lawned areas, a quarry and our own harbour. We have easy access to the Snowdonia National Park and the coastline of Anglesey which allows groups to experience the more demanding adventures these environments provide.
On site: canoeing, kayaking, dinghy and keelboat sailing, powerboat training, raft build, indoor climbing, low and high ropes, aerial runway, bush craft, abseil, orienteering, problem solving, development training.
Off site: sea level traversing, gorge scrambling, mountain walking and scrambling, camping and bivouacking, rock climbing, sea and river kayaking, surfing and canoeing
All our courses are taught by a team of highly experienced outdoor education practitioners. Most of our staff are qualified teachers, who hold high level National Governing Body Awards, and they pride themselves on balancing challenge with enjoyment whilst operating in a safe and supportive atmosphere.
Programme.
A firm believer in the underlying principles of Every Child Matters, we tailor each programme of activities to your individual course requirements. We use our 35 years of experience to help you design a course that achieves your aims.
Bespoke cross-curricular courses are available and can include fieldwork in geography, biology and ecology plus visual art, drama and dance.
