Beaumanor Outdoor Learning Centre

Superbly located in private grounds, Beaumanor offers people of all ages a rich and memorable outdoor experience.

Accommodation for 92 students in five self-contained cabins, each with separate staff accommodation.
High quality standing camp accommodation for an additional 40+ students in delightful and secure surroundings. Groups can also bring their own tents.

Both residential and day visitors can experience our outdoor and adventurous activities.

Explorations: Beaumanor is steeped in Victorian and World War ɪɪ history. This rich heritage is utilised to provide curriculum specific resources, which enhance and enliven classroom based work. These “History Days”, are specifically aimed at KS2, but can be adapted for other age groups. Sessions are very much experiential learning.

Victorian days – school room, servant and photo trail based on the Herrick family period at Beaumanor.
World War ɪɪ – radio room, air raid and rationing.
Celtic / Iron age day – domestic life in our iron age round house, warrior training, Runic trail.

Exploration activities for younger (reception and KS1) children include:

Full conference and event facilities are available in Beaumanor Hall. Conferences and meetings can be combined with outdoor provision to provide holistic team building days.

Programmes can be tailored to meet specific needs and budgets.

Catering:- Beaumanor can provide meals or groups can cater for themselves.

Mobile activities:- Outdoor learning can be brought to your event or school with our climbing wall, archery and team building activities. Curriculum specific packages based on KS2 geography are also available for your school.
