The Abernethy Trust

Abernethy Ardgour is one of four Abernethy Trust adventure centres. We have been providing quality outdoor education in Scotland for over 40 years. All of the Abernethy centres are AALA licensed, every member of staff holds a current child protection certificate and our instructors all hold up to date NGB qualifications in all of our activities.

What Do We Offer?

Schools: We have built up an enviable reputation for providing an outdoor education programme that is not only great fun for school children, but which also fulfils the outdoor learning criteria of the Curriculum for Excellence and National Curriculum. Call us for a copy of our schools booklet outlining how our programmes fit the CforE and NC criteria.

We also run a hugely successful DofE programme, including our popular Saddle Club and activity based residentials, as well as our canoeing and horse riding expeditions.

Non-School groups: We can provide the best custom built holidays and residentials for your group. With our flexible price plans, you can make sure that your stay with us is exactly what you want it to be.

Courses: Ardgour is home to our very successful School of Adventure Leadership. We run a 12 and 6 month Instructor training course, as well as a 6 week ski instructor course at our chalet in Villars, Switzerland (also available for school ski trips). For more information on our available courses visit our website.
